A Single Will should only be used for someone who is single, widowed or divorced. Under the Will you can nominate the people you wish to benefit from your estate. This can either be by specific gifts of items or money or alternatively from all their remaining assets pooled together (Residuary Estate.) You appoint your Executors who will see that the terms of the Will are carried out and act in your estate.
A single Will can also be used to appoint Guardians for children under 18.
